The Holy Scriptures We believe that Holy Scriptures are the inspired and inerrant word of God and are preserved in the Masoretic Hebrew text and the Textus Receptus Greek text. We believe the King James bible to be the most accurate and faithful of all translations based on the proper source texts. We believe the Bible is the only authoritative rule of faith, worship, and Christian obedience. (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
The Godhead We believe that God is one God in three persons -- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, all fully God, equal in power and glory. (Matthew 28:18-20 ; 1 Corinthians 8:6 ; Galatians 4:6 ; 1 John 5:7 )
The Holy Spirit We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9-11, 13-15; 15: 18,19; 2 Corinthians 1:21, 22; Ephesians 3: 14-19; 5: 18-20) We believe in the personal baptism with the Holy Spirit as received by believers “at the beginning.” We believe in the present day manifestation of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church. (John 1:33; 20: 21-23; Acts 1:8; 2: 4; 4: 31; 8:17; 10: 44-46; 19: 3-6; Romans 12: 6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:13, 27-31; 14: 1-40; Ephesians 5:18)
The Savior We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1: 1-5; 20:28; Colossians 1:15-17; Matthew 1:22, 23; 3:16, 17; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:25; Matthew 28: 5-7; 1 Corinthians 15: 3-8; Acts 1: 9-11; 2: 32-33; Romans 8: 34; Ephesians 4:8-10; Hebrews 1: 2-3; I Thessalonians. 4:16-18)
Total Depravity (or Inability) We believe that all men are born dead in trespesses and sins and are sinners both by their nature and by their acts, deserving God's wrath and condemnation. All men are wholly unable to save themselves by good works and are unable to change themselves. (Jeremiah 13:23; 17:9-10 ; Romans 3:10-19, 23 ; 1 Corinthians 2:14)
Unconditional Election We believe that God has chosen, before the foundation of the world, a people for Himself, not because of any good which He foresaw in them nor a forseeing that they would believe on Jesus, but of His own free grace and love. (Acts 13:48 ; Ephesians 1:4-14 ; 2 Thessalonians 2:13) We believe that God elects and saves men from every tribe, tongue, people and nation. We are commanded to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and invite all to come to Him for salvation, trusting that God will accomplish His own will, and that His Word will not return to Him void. (Isaiah 55:11 ; 2 Corinthians 2:12-17 ; Revelation 5:9-10)
Particular Redemption We believe that Jesus Christ died to save His people (God's elect) from their sins and that the shedding of His own blood on the cross secured their salvation eternally. (Isaiah 53:4-12 ; Matthew 1:21 ; John 10:11-15 )
Irrestible Grace We believe that God calls each one He saves, sending His Spirit in regeneration to draw them unto Himself and give them the gifts of faith and repentance. (Jeremiah 31:3 ; John 6:44 ; 2 Corinthians 4:6 ; 2 Thessalonians 2:14)
Perseverance of the Saints We believe that God will preserve to the end all whom He has elected, called and saved. Also, all whom God preserves will persevere in Christ to the end, bearing the fruits of repentance and faith with a godly life. (John 6:37-40; 10:27-29 ; Romans 8:28-30 ; 1 Peter 1:5 )
New Birth We believe that being born again is essential to being a true follower of Christ and that God saves men from beginning to end by His Sovereign Grace, none deserving His mercy more than any other. Even faith and repentance are gifts that God must bring through His Spirit in regeneration before we can confess our sins and believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. (John 1:12-13 ; Romans 9:14-23 ; Ephesians 2:1-10)
Purpose of Mankind We believe man's chief purpose is to glorify God and enjoy a relationship with Him forever. We see worshipping God and the pursuit of holiness as priorities in fulfilling this purpose. (Jeremiah 9:24 ; 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; 10:31 ; Hebrews 12:14 ; 1 Peter 1:13-21)
Marriage and Family We believe that marriage and family are institutions ordained by the Lord God Himself from the very beginning of human history and these are sacred institutions. Marriage is between one man and one woman. Any other definition of marriage is contrary to the clear teachings of the Holy Bible and hence against the expressed will of God. (Genesis 1:27-28; 2:20b-24; 1 Corinthians 7:2; Hebrews 13:4)
Children We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord. God has called us to be fruitful and multiply. We reject our culture’s view of children as financial burdens that should be received sparingly. Instead, we rejoice with those who receive children in abundance, and mourn with those whose prayerful plea for the blessing of children has gone unanswered. (Psalms 127:3-5; 128; Genesis 1:28; Proverbs 17:6; Job 42:12-16)
Abortion We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life. Abortion is murder. We reject any teaching that abortions of pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the physical or mental well being of the mother are acceptable. (Job 3:16; Psalms 51:5; 139:14-16; Isaiah 44:24; 49:1, 5; Jeremiah 1:5; 20:15-18; Luke 1:44)
Giving We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God's wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to support his local church financially. We believe that God has established the tithe as a basis for giving, but that every Christian should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. (Genesis 14:20; Proverbs 3:9-10; Acts 4:34-37; 1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7; Galatians 6:6; Ephesians 4:28; I Timothy 5:17-18; I John 3:17)
Family Discipleship While the church is called to make disciples, it is clear that God has given the family as the primary discipling agent. Children are entrusted to parents for their spiritual nurture. (Genesis 12:8; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Psalm 78:5-8; Psalm 113:3; Ephesians 6:1-4; II Timothy 3:14-15) Christian Education We believe every Christian family should strive to give their children a Christian education which includes biblical training as well as home schooling if it all possible. (Psalm 1; Proverbs 1:7-9; 2:1-7; 3:1-7;9:10; Luke 6:40; Ephesians 4:11-16; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 1:18-21; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Colossians 2:8-10; Ephesians 6:1-4; 1 Timothy 6:20-21)
